The Ivygreen Allotments were established at the begining of the last centuary and are rented from Manchester City Council.  The Ivygreen Allotments Society has managed the allotments since 1991 and all plot holders automatically become members of the society.  

The Committee is elected to oversee the management of the site at the Annual General meeting which is usually held in November.

The Commitee  need to ensure that the Council and the Allotment Society rules are followed and that the site is kept tidy and plots cultivated.  They organise events and working parties, conduct plot inspections, collect the rent, allocate vacant plots and ensure the site is run smoothly and maintained in a proper manner.  They meet once a month during the season.  Minutes of the Society meetings can be found on the "Documents" page.
